NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE COMMON MG.15 DOUBLE DRUM MAGAZINE. THIS IS THE VERSION MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR USE WITH THE MG.34 WHEN FITTED WITH THE CORRECT TOP COVER. WHEN FITTED TO THE MG.34, USED MOSTLY IN PANZER AND ARMOURED VEHICLE, MOST FAMOUSLY ON THE MK.1 PANZER. DIFFERS FROM THE MG.15 VERSION HAVING TWO ADDITIONAL PLATES TO THE FRONT FOR ADJUSTING SPRING TENSION, ALSO LARGER WINDING SOCKETS TO THE BACK, AND A HIGHER THUMB PLATE TO THE RELEASE CATCH. ALSO HAVE ARMY WaA STAMP INSTEAD OF THE LUFTWAFFE MARK. MADE BY wa IN 1941. HAS ITS ORIGINAL ERSATZ MATERIAL CARRYING STRAP. AS SEEN, THERE ARE RANDOM PATCHES OF SURFACE CORROSION OVERALL. BUT, NO HOLES AND STILL RETAINS AROUND 60 % OF ITS ORIGINAL BLUED FINISH, THE REMAINDER TURNED TO A MATCHING DARK PATINA. OTHER EXAMPLES IN NOT MUCH BETTER CONDITION HAVE BEEN OBSERVED PRICE AT AROUND THE £2000 MARK. VERY RARE PIECE.
