THE POMMEL WITH A SILVER DISK TO THE TOP WHICH AFTER CLOSER INSPECTION CAN BE MADE OUT TO BE A BRITISH SILVER SHILLING. THIS POSSIBLY TAKEN BY A MAHDI DURING THE 1880′S CONFLICTS OR POSSIBLY FROM THE EGYPTIAN RAIDS. VERY FINE QUALITY CROSS GUARD WITH CROSS CUT TO TOT HE CENTRE AS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DARFUR REGION. 845 MM , 33.25 INCH BROADSWORD BLADE WITH SHALLOW FULLER. ENGRAVED ONE SIDE WITH LARGE STAR AND SUN. LARGE CRESCENT MOON WITH FACE TO THE OTHER SIDE. BLADE WITH LIGHT GREY PATINA. NO PITTING OVERALL
